Nave Flooring
We hade known for many years that the layout of the main worship space in our church was holding the building back from reaching it's full potential not just as a space for worship but also for other events and community uses.
Due to the high level of investment in other more urgent areas of the building we did not have the funds required to carry out a long term solution in the nave. We therefore worked with our architect Chris Balme and the Diocesan Advisory Committee to draw up a cost effective short term solution which will allow us to continue using and grow the use of this space whilst we focus our resources onto the other more urgent repair needs.
After a directions hearing with the diocesan Chancellor in June 2018 the PCC were granted a faculty to remove the timber pews and install a new suspended floor.
